Crisis Center Crisis Clinician (Weekend Days)

Job Overview

Compass Health Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Crisis Clinician/Triage Clinician Lead to join our integrated team at the local Crisis Access Point (CAP) during weekend days. This role is vital in providing essential oversight and direct support to individuals facing behavioral health crises, ensuring that we deliver quality care that reflects our commitment to the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the triage process for individuals presenting at the CAP, performing swift and empathetic assessments of behavioral health needs.
• Facilitate the completion of Open Access assessments as clinically appropriate, aiming to minimize unnecessary hospitalizations or law enforcement involvement.
• Oversee the multi-disciplinary team’s operations, providing guidance and support to staff members on shift.
• Collaborate effectively with internal team members and external community partners to coordinate comprehensive services.
• Maintain accurate client records in accordance with agency and state regulations, demonstrating a thorough understanding of utilization management criteria.
• Deliver culturally competent services tailored to the diverse needs of consumers and their families.
• Engage with other community organizations, including law enforcement and emergency medical services, to ensure holistic support for clients.

Qualifications

• Must qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP).
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a licensed therapist is preferred, along with a solid understanding of DSM-5.
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or psychology is preferred; a Bachelor's degree in a human services field is required.
