We are seeking a dedicated Nurse LPN/RN to join our Crisis Center Stabilization team, working during the weekend days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. This full-time position offers a competitive $3,600 sign-on bonus to address the critical service needs of the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
As a Nurse at our Crisis Center, you will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Provide both direct and indirect patient care within a psychiatric setting.
- Conduct health assessments, pain evaluations, and administer vital signs while ensuring general daily care is maintained for individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center.
- Manage medication administration, including executing medication passes, injections, and overseeing self-administration.
- Maintain accurate medication records, update the Medication Administration Record (MAR), and manage controlled substances.
- Deliver patient education related to health conditions and medication regimens.
- Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including staff, residents, family members, physicians, psychiatrists, hospitals, and pharmacies to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Document and report observable changes in patients' behaviors, attitudes, and physical conditions.
- Assist in various diagnostic and treatment procedures and provide orientation to new employees on procedures and protocols.
- Attend team and leadership meetings as required.
- Be prepared to participate in mandatory overtime as necessary.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Strong verbal, written, and nonverbal communication capabilities.
- Cognitive, organizational, and emotional skills to navigate multiple stressors effectively.
- Ability to work compassionately with patients who may exhibit verbal or physical agitation.
- A Practical Nursing Certificate or an Associate's/Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
- A minimum of one year of psychiatric experience is essential; experience in a hospital or acute care environment is preferred.
- Valid LPN or RN licensure in Missouri is mandatory.
