Crisis Center LPN/RN Nurse (Weekend Nights)

Job Overview

Join our dedicated team at Compass Health Network as a Nurse LPN/RN at our Crisis Center Stabilization Center, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and professional psychiatric care. This position offers a unique opportunity to support individuals facing behavioral crises within a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including health and pain assessments, vital signs, and daily care
• Administer medications, including injections, and oversee self-administration
• Manage medication records by updating the MAR and counting controlled substances
• Provide essential patient education regarding health and medications
• Collaborate with staff, residents, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Document and report observable changes in patients’ conditions
• Assist in diagnostic and treatment procedures as needed
• Educate new team members on protocols and procedures
• Attend team and leadership meetings as assigned
• Provide direct care to adult patients, including those who may be agitated
• Participate in mandatory overtime when required
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong verbal, written, and nonverbal communication abilities
• Effective cognitive, organizational, and emotional skills to manage multiple stressors
• Capacity to work with patients in various emotional states, including agitation
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN license in Missouri required
• Associate's degree in nursing is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Minimum of one year of psychiatric experience; experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
