This full-time, benefit-eligible position will provide coverage at our Wentzville and two St. Charles clinics, operating Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, documenting histories and vital signs accurately.
- Set up exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Perform venipunctures, urinalysis, EKGs, and other authorized procedures.
- Administer immunizations and other injections as directed.
- Manage patient prescriptions and ensure appropriate documentation.
- Deliver patient education and instructional support.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization.
- Assist healthcare providers with minor surgeries and physicals.
- Facilitate scheduling for tests and treatments.
- Screen telephone inquiries for proper referrals and relay messages accurately.
- Uphold comprehensive patient records and maintain confidentiality.
- Follow established CLIA and OSHA regulations.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Monitor medical stock and order supplies as necessary.
- Attend mandatory training and adhere to professional conduct standards.
- Proficient in preparing patients for exams and documenting medical histories.
- Strong comprehension of medical office terminology and procedures.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to administer injections and immunizations.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification is required if no Associate degree or equivalent experience is obtained; LPN license is also acceptable.
- A minimum of two years of medical office experience is required if neither a degree nor certification is held.
