Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including taking medical histories and vital signs.
- Set up exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and supplies.
- Perform clinical procedures such as venipunctures, EKGs, and other specified tasks.
- Administer immunizations and maintain accurate documentation of patient prescriptions.
- Provide educational guidance to patients regarding health matters.
- Assist practitioners and physicians during minor surgeries and physical examinations.
- Maintain and organize patient files and medical records while adhering to established safety precautions.
- Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and place orders as necessary.
- Attend training sessions as mandated by Compass Health and regulatory bodies.
- Uphold professional standards and ethical conduct in all interactions.
- Strong understanding of medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide patient education and uphold confidentiality standards.
- Competence in performing clinical procedures such as venipunctures, EKGs, and administering immunizations.
- Team-oriented approach with a commitment to service excellence.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate degree is preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification is necessary if an associate degree or requisite experience is not obtained; LPN license is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of medical office experience is required unless a degree or certification is acquired.
