Key Responsibilities
- Prepare for varying schedules and travel to adjacent clinics for nursing coverage and training.
- Review medication education materials with clients.
- Complete comprehensive documentation related to the medication clinic and psychiatric consultations.
- Administer intramuscular (IM) medications, dispense sample medications, and maintain accurate records of medication dispensation.
- Assist in completing prior authorizations as required.
- Manage a list of injections, coordinate ordering and delivery, and verify current orders while discussing potential side effects with patients.
- Conduct vital sign assessments and oversee the prediabetes screening process.
- Proficiency in administering medications and understanding of psychiatric care operations.
- Strong communication skills for effective client education and engagement.
- Ability to manage dynamic schedules and adapt to frequent changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence in healthcare-related computer programs for accurate documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills for effective medication management and record-keeping.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- GPN, LPN, GN, or RN candidates must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
