Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the Medication Clinic while providing nursing coverage to support regional practitioner schedules.
- Serve as a case manager for clients requiring medication refills, ensuring timely and effective service.
- Prepare for varying schedule demands, travel to neighboring clinics for coverage and training as needed.
- Educate clients by reviewing medication information and instructions.
- Complete essential documentation related to the medication clinic and psychiatric consultations in consumer records.
- Administer intramuscular (IM) medications, manage sample medications, and maintain accurate logs of all received and dispensed medications.
- Assist with prior authorizations and ensure current medication orders are verified.
- Monitor vital signs and facilitate the prediabetes screening process.
- Strong nursing skills with a solid understanding of medication management.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and documentation.
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to interact effectively with clients.
- Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Required: GPN, LPN, GN, or RN candidates must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days post-graduation.
