Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the operations of the medication clinic.
- Adapt to varying schedule changes and provide coverage at neighboring clinics for training and nursing support.
- Review medication education materials with clients to ensure comprehensive understanding.
- Act as a Case Manager to assist clients with medication refills.
- Complete all necessary documentation regarding medication management and psychiatric consultations.
- Administer intramuscular medications, dispense samples, and maintain meticulous logs of medications received and given.
- Aid in completing prior authorizations for medication.
- Maintain an updated list of injections, oversee the ordering and delivery process, verify order accuracy, and discuss potential side effects with clients.
- Measure vital signs and facilitate the prediabetes screening process.
- Demonstrate a broad proficiency in computer systems and technology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
- Proficiency in managing and coordinating multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and case management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of medication administration and patient education principles.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Licensure as GPN, LPN, GN, or RN is required, with the expectation to pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
