This role involves acting as a case manager while collaborating closely with our Clinical Doctors and Customer Relations Specialists to ensure our clients receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the medication clinic efficiently
- Engage in cross-training to assist in other clinics and regions as necessary
- Review medication education forms with clients and manage their medication refill needs
- Complete all required documentation for electronic health records (EHR) regarding medication and psychiatric consultations
- Administer intramuscular (IM) medications, dispense samples, and keep meticulous logs of medications received and dispensed
- Support prior authorization processes and maintain updated injection lists
- Conduct pre-visit nursing assessments, including obtaining patient histories and vital signs
- Perform venipunctures and other related procedures as directed
- Maintain organized patient files, records, and other essential information
- Follow standard precautions and ensure cleanliness of the unit’s facilities and equipment
- Monitor supplies of medical stock and order as necessary
- Strong knowledge of medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information judiciously
- High School diploma or GED required, with an Associate degree preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years of equivalent work experience is necessary if a medical assistant certification or associate degree is not obtained
- At least two (2) years of experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Medical Assistant Certification is required unless an associate degree or equivalent experience is achieved, along with a valid LPN license in Missouri if applicable.
