Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage the operations of a medication clinic.
- Collaborate with Clinical Doctors and Customer Relations Specialists to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct medication education discussions with clients and address their refill needs.
- Complete necessary documentation for electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer intramuscular medications and maintain precise logs of all medications dispensed.
- Assist with prior authorizations and manage injection lists, ensuring orders are current.
- Perform initial nursing assessments including patient histories and vital signs.
- Conduct various quality intervention checks and document findings accurately in patient files.
- Follow prescribed protocols for medication refills and maintain effective communication with patients.
- Uphold standard precautions for safety and maintain cleanliness within the unit.
- Monitor and order medical supplies as required.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in medication administration and education.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED is a prerequisite.
- Practical Nursing Certificate or an Associate/Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
- A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is expected unless the candidate holds an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a medical office is preferred but not mandatory.
