The Director of Substance Use Recovery - OP Therapy Services is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of outpatient therapy services for adolescents and adults with substance use disorders (SUD) across multiple sites within the designated region. This position entails ensuring compliance with utilization standards and upholding the quality of services, while also guiding the program’s oversight and development in accordance with ASAM standards. Collaboration with OP Directors and the Directors of Substance Use Recovery is essential to provide comprehensive support to the DCCO.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of quality and continuity in therapy for OP Adolescent and Adult SUD Recovery Treatment Services, including co-occurring disorder treatment
- Facilitate weekly face-to-face supervision sessions with staff and manage necessary documentation
- Collaborate with Quality and Compliance departments to identify areas for staff coaching regarding documentation and treatment standards
- Participate in utilization reviews to monitor productivity, length of stay, and scheduling metrics
- Coordinate efforts with external agencies and contractors as necessary
- Conduct monthly staff meetings to ensure communication, updates, and training
- Assist in the clinical orientation of new staff members, providing necessary resources and support
- Review and co-sign documentation for new staff to ensure compliance with standards for the first 30 days of employment
- Work with Compass Training Institute (CTI) to facilitate training for new and existing employees
- Engage in AIM discussions with assigned staff to set professional development goals
- Approve time-off requests and manage time sheets in Kronos
- Monitor attendance and adherence to organizational regulations
- Utilize reports effectively to ensure program management alignment with organizational objectives
- Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient knowledge of ASAM standards and compliance requirements
- Experience in clinical supervision and training
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Competence in managing documentation and treatment standards
- Master's degree in a relevant field is required
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience is required
- Licensure/Certification: LCSW, LPC, or LMSW, PLPC is mandatory
