Key Responsibilities
- Organize and supervise the operations of the Medication Clinic.
- Prepare for and adapt to schedule modifications, including travel to neighboring clinics for nursing coverage and training.
- Educate clients on medication usage through comprehensive review of education sheets.
- Act as a case manager for clients requiring medication refills, ensuring thorough documentation and communication.
- Administer intramuscular medications and accurately maintain logs of all medications dispensed and received.
- Assist in the completion of prior authorizations and manage the coordination of injection orders, verifying current status and discussing potential side effects with clients.
- Conduct vital signs assessments and manage prediabetes screening procedures.
- Complete essential documentation related to the Opioid Treatment Program, supporting physicians in conducting medical assessments and managing client medication needs.
- Proficient in case management and capable of navigating complex client needs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong multitasking and planning skills to manage diverse responsibilities.
- Effective organizational and time management competencies.
- Proven problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with computer systems and relevant software applications.
- High School diploma or GED is required; an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- Current RN licensure is mandatory, with successful completion of the MO NCLEX exam required within 90 days of graduation.
