Key Responsibilities
As a nurse in our behavioral health clinic, you will:
- Supervise the operations of the Medication Clinic and ensure nursing coverage aligns with the practitioners’ schedules.
- Act as a case manager for clients requiring medication refills, ensuring they receive timely and effective care.
- Adapt to frequent schedule changes and travel to nearby clinics as necessary for nursing coverage and training.
- Review educational materials regarding medications with clients and complete essential documentation for consumer records.
- Administer intramuscular (IM) medications, dispense samples, and maintain meticulous logs of all medications managed.
- Collaborate with the team to facilitate prior authorizations and manage the logistics of medication orders and side effects.
- Take vital signs and assist in coordinating the prediabetes screening process.

- A foundational understanding of medical terminology and computer programs.
- Strong organizational abilities to maintain accurate logs and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and healthcare practitioners.
- The capability to manage medications responsibly and provide client education on medication use.
Ideal candidates will have:
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
- Be a Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Graduate Nurse (GN), or Registered Nurse (RN) who will pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
