Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor the health needs of clients, including post-acute withdrawal symptoms.
- Engage with consumers to address medical concerns and triage medication conditions during treatment.
- Coordinate medication appointments and collaborate with attending physicians and managed care organizations as necessary.
- Manage medical emergencies effectively and monitor dietary needs related to medical conditions.
- Assist clients in accessing essential mental health services, including accompanying them to appointments.
- Review and clarify medication requirements with consumers, providing education on medication usage.
- Supervise the self-administration of medication while training staff in related competencies, including CLIA and biohazard training.
- Carry out blood draws for metabolic assessments and coordinate laboratory orders.
- Consult on the use of over-the-counter medications and monitor their utilization.
- Administer therapeutic medications through injection as required.
- Collaborate with pharmacies and families to coordinate medication needs, including access to indigent drug programs.
- Set up medication dispensing systems and conduct psycho-education groups related to health issues.
- Provide in-services for staff regarding medical topics.
- Proficient nursing assessment capabilities.
- Strong ability to monitor health needs and post-acute withdrawal symptoms.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with consumers.
- Knowledgeable in medication management and patient education techniques.

- An Associate’s degree in nursing is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in Missouri is mandatory.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Missouri is preferred.
