Position Title: Plant Engineer

Responsibilities:
· Weekly/Monthly Readings – Conduct routine facility inspections, including a 30-minute walk to monitor systems and 15 minutes of data entry and analysis.
· Project Management – Oversee facility and equipment upgrades, including managing projects related to boilers and chillers.
· Crane Management – Manage all crane operations, including rigging, equipment maintenance, and upgrades.
· Security Systems – Administer and maintain security systems, including door alarms and camera surveillance.
· DDC System Management – Oversee the chiller software, including managing pump operations and alarm settings.
· Chemical Management – Monitor chemical inventory and place orders as needed to ensure continuous operations.
· DI Water Management – Serve as the primary contact for the management and maintenance of DI water tanks.
· Grounds Maintenance – Coordinate general grounds upkeep, including tree trimming, landscaping, parking lot repairs, and other maintenance tasks.
· Roof Repair – Manage roof maintenance and repair tasks to ensure building integrity and safety.
· HVAC Systems – Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, including boilers, air makeup units, and A/C units.
· Janitorial Oversight – Supervise subcontracted nighttime custodial services to ensure cleanliness and facility upkeep.
· Safety & Compliance – Lead safety initiatives, including fire system management, safety audits, and monthly safety training topics.
· Utility Bill Monitoring – Review utility bills for a
· Fluid & Gas Monitoring – Regularly check and maintain fluid levels for liquids, gases, and other essential systems to ensure optimal operation.
· Utility Usage Optimization – Review electrical bills and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and associated cost accuracy and proactively track potential changes in market rates (e.g., projected power bill increase in June/July).
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology
· 1 years’ Experience in a manufacturing environment (or a combination of comparable education and experience).
· Drafting/Design experience
· AutoCAD experience
