Job description and expectations :

Compass Truck Rental and Leasing is seeking a highly motivated General Manager professional to develop, manage and grow our truck rental and sales branch in Indianapolis, IN and its employees. The ideal candidate is a motivated, solution-oriented individual who is proficient with the transportation industry and displays strong communication skills. Our ideal candidate welcomes the challenges for acquiring and developing new business through outside sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, hire, develop and manage truck sales and shop service team and their performance, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions and regulatory compliance. You will have an opportunity to promote affiliated Compass businesses and help build a strong Compass footprint in the region.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to enhance sales.
• Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance to a sales team in growing their book of business.
• Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance to operations team in maintaining business compliance.
• Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision makers and with affiliated Compass businesses to leverage existing business leads’ sales potential.
• Proactively identify new opportunities and foster innovation to maintain market competitiveness.
• Monitor customer feedback to continuously improve customer experience.
