What are the responsibilities and job description for the Semi-Truck Body Technician position at Compass Truck Sales?
Compass Truck Sales is looking for a full time Semi-Truck Body Technicians that can successfully run the following scope of work:
· Removing and installing new interior body parts
· Removing, preparing, painting, and installing exterior body parts
· Performing Body damage inspections
· Performing body repairs using Bondo, Fiberglass filler, Fiberglass Resin and Cloth
· Performing dent and scratch repairs
· Perform aluminum welding when needed
· Being able to mix your own paint and match as close as possible
· Be familiar with PPG Delfleet Evolution Lineup
· Staying up to date by following products safety operations and handling
Be comfortable to work in all four-season weather conditions in case:
· The truck is towed in after hours and would need to be towed into the shop the next morning
· The truck is completely dead and would need to be jumped to be pulled into the shop.
· There is a high volume of work
· There is a deadline to meet
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3-year body experience
· Valid Forklift License preferred but not required
· Valid USA and State Driver’s License
· Following safety steps/protocol when needed in all types of situations
· Must have his own tools to perform work efficiently
· A skilled Welder is a plus
· Teamwork oriented
· Cleanliness oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
