Compassionate Wellness Center in Hagerstown, MD is looking for alcohol and substance abuse treatment counselor to join our strong team. We are located on 44 N Potomac St Suite 101 & 102. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.
We are currently seeking full & part-time substance abuse counselor for our expanding addiction treatment facility located in Hagerstown, Maryland. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced and creative counselor who wants to be involved in the development of the program as we grow. Our integrative approach combines meditation and mindfulness instruction and practice with traditional group and individual therapy to provide a holistic and personalized program of treatment and recovery.
The counselor is responsible for counseling activities as directed by the program's Clinical Director in consultation with the Meditation Teacher. The incumbent provides group and individual therapy and collaborates with the Treatment Team in the formulation of the Master Treatment Plan and Discharge Plan. The counselor documents a client interaction using ICAnotes according to the program timetable.
Monday – Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm
JOB DUTIES:
Individual Session.
Group facilitation.
EHR Documentation (Treatment plans, Discharge summary, Interpretive summary, Biopsychosocial, & Progress notes).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
LCADC, LCPC, CAC-AD or CSC-AD Status preferred.
Alcohol and Drug Counselor Trainee may also apply. (ADT Trainee).
Education -
Bachelor's Degree preferred
AA Degree may apply
SUMMARY OF WORK RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate ability to effectively engage clients with substance abuse issues.
Responsible for intakes and assessments, problem identification, treatment planning, recording progress notes, and developing discharge plans, review of continuing care plans.
Completion of progress notes with signatures and proper time documentation.
Must be able to:
- Provide effective substance abuse treatment.
- Maintains case documentation and tracking.
- Collaborates with primary care providers and referring agencies.
- Provides outreach, linkage and/or reports to health, social, legal, and funding departments and agencies as required.
EXPERIENCE:
2 years of experience as a Certified Alcohol and Drug counselor or Trainee is preferred.
