The Director of People Operations (DPO) is our leader of all aspect of our Navigators (employees). The People Operations team has accountability for the Compass Way to attract, retain, and develop individuals. The team supports the leaders to execute these best practices, which results in right people right roles in an environment that results in highly engaged (happy) Navigators. The DPO will have the full responsibility to align our Navigators in the right roles, assess and foster the environment aligned to the CEO’s vision, all while assuring CompassMSP is compliant with all laws and regulations in each state we have employees in.
We are currently seeking a highly strategic and dynamic Director of People Operations to partner with our executive team and be a visionary leader for People Operations team. This pivotal role will drive our desired experience and environment forward, overseeing all aspects related to our people including strategic leadership, recruiting, payroll, benefits, compliance, and strategic initiatives. This position requires a unique blend of strategic leadership, business acumen, human resources management, and influence to drive change.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership for our Executive Leadership Team (ELT):
Align with ELT on the company’s direction, current initiatives, and gaps to create a focused execution plan to get fast results.
Strategic Leadership for our People Operations Team:
Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
Build and maintain a structured goal-oriented approach for improvements within the People Operations team
Mentor and grow Navigators in your report to their fullest potential
General Human Resources:
Ensure our benefits, payroll, 401k, and employment practices are compliant in all states we have Navigators
Stay abreast of current and emerging trends to ensure current operations are in alignment to best practices for Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and all other HR Administration functions.
Develop and manage a total compensation package that attracts and retains talent.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
Advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
5+ years as a People Operations / HR Leader
Experience managing a team larger than 5 required
Experience working directly with executive teams required
Proven experience as a change leader
Experience in Professional Services preferred
