Medical Records Clerk Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in long term care and medical records is required
- To maintain medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as in accordance with facility policies and procedures, to assure that a complete medical records program is maintained
- To assist with appointment scheduling, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, facility policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Director of Nursing, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times
- Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
- Be able to effectively communicate with others.
- Computer knowledge preferred.
- All other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Medical Records Clerk Schedule and Benefits:
