Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate that performs the daily administrative functions to product receiving and customer service. Associate will perform duties as assigned by the Controller.
Duties
Key Responsibilities:
Enter electronic purchase orders as requested by purchasing agents. Enter electronic receiving of product.
Manage inventory item codes – creating new, maintaining existing and inactivating old
Customer Service – receives and responds to customer orders/inquiries, reviewing previous inquiries and responses; gathering and researching information; assembling and forwarding information; verifying customer’s understanding of information and offering assistance to customers. Answering telephone calls and handling counter sales.
Maintain customer records for grain purchases. Prepare daily customer delivery paperwork.
Maintains quality service by recommending improved processes where needed.
Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Contributes to team effort and accomplishes other duties as assigned by Controller.
Required Skills and Abilities
Minimum of 3 years of experience (or equivalent) in financial accounting or administrative capacity.
Familiarity with Great Plains (or similar) accounting software.
Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong work ethic.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus.
Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction.
