Job Description : Warehouse Assistant

Summary: Responsible for warehouse storage, organization, and maintenance of bagged/toted products. Assists with incoming and outgoing inventory, picking & loading of customer orders, and record-keeping. Work under the direction of the Warehouse Coordinator and Operations Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

1.) Assists with loading and unloading of all incoming/outgoing inventory in main warehouse and garage area (Door #5). -- Counts and records all product transactions, both incoming & outgoing. -- Double-checks all product counts.

2.) Assists with receiving and placement of inventory within warehouse, show room, & garage. -- Completes “receiving” paperwork, labeling, sampling, and recordkeeping. -- Adheres to drug inventory protocols (ie: daily inventory of meds). -- Returns all required paperwork to front office promptly. -- Performs duties according to Receiving Protocols (see attached).

-- Assist with weekly ordering for inventory (independent ordering some weeks).

-- Assist & complete cycle counts regularly.

--Seasonal show feed inventory record keeping multiple times weekly.

3.) Picks customer feed orders and loads onto customer vehicles. -- Treats all customers with the utmost respect at all times. -- Reports any customer requests/comments to salesman or management.

4.) Assists drivers with efficient loading of customer feed orders onto assigned trucks. -- Checks product counts, lot numbers, and paperwork for accuracy.

5.) Operates mobile equipment and facility machinery with utmost safety and care. -- Abides by all safety protocols at all times. – Reports safety issues to management immediately. -- Performs regular (daily) maintenance checks.

6.) Empties ingredient totes daily into storage bays to provide adequate supply for production.

7.) Maintains, organizes, and labels warehouse area and inventory, as directed.

Associated Duties:

· Adheres to all Company policies and procedures (safety, quality control, product sampling, record-keeping, housekeeping, etc.).

· Utilizes required safety gear (PPE, seat belt, etc.) at all times.

· Reports any feed discrepancies (shortages, breakage, quality issues, etc.) to management immediately.

· Treats other employees with respect, and assists them as needed. Conducts him/herself as a valued member of the “team”.

· Helps with training of new employees as needed.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 55 lbs.

· Able to climb ladders up to 45 feet above ground level.

· High school diploma or equivalent GED (preferred).

· Able to read and write in English.

· Able to complete required paperwork regularly and legibly.

· Able to provide/obtain transportation to assigned location…always “on time”.
