DO YOU LIKE WORKING WITH YOUR HANDS? A mat technician Apprentice might be the right position for you. Mat technicians work with their hands to create mats in glass fiber production. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED we will pay you as you learn the techniques to become proficient in your skill.... and you also receive a piece rate incentive while you do it!!

Job Summary: Train to Operate and maintain a glass fibers furnace
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take direction on how to:
- Maintain product to specifications
- Maintain fibers on drum(s)
- Maintain cleanliness
- Keep raw materials filled and staged for the production run
- Assisting in removing mat from drum
- Mix resin
- Perform quality checks and record the results
- Be productive by acting in a timely fashion.
- Maintain acceptable attendance record.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Communicate effectively with others
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Knowledge, Certifications, Skills, Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Good hand/eye coordination.

- Manufacturing environment
- temperature extremes and noise.
