Duties/Responsibilities Of a Facilities Engineering Associates
Perform technical and engineering support functions related to building and production equipment maintenance, with responsibilities including but not limited to:

- Providing engineering and technical support for tenant improvement projects, new construction, equipment installations, building repairs, and ongoing maintenance work.
- Identifying, prioritizing, and communicating recommendations for facility improvements with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
- Participating in and leading projects related to equipment upgrades, relocations, and infrastructure improvements.
- Ensuring equipment and control panel compliance with building codes and standards, including coordination with equipment vendors and integrators.
- Drafting and maintaining technical documentation and procedures for buildings, utilities, and equipment, including:
- Architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC drawings.
- Assisting in developing and enforcing standards for document control and system documentation.
- Supporting internal audits and inspections by ensuring that documentation is accurate, current, and properly organized.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints and plans.
- General knowledge of building construction and mechanical systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fabrication.
- Design Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidEdge, Solidworks, etc).
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- General computer proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret compliance documents, engineering reports, and technical specifications.
- Awareness of occupational hazards and adherence to standard safety practices.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- 1–5 years of experience in a technical or engineering support role in architecture, construction, facilities maintenance, or mechanical design—preferably within a manufacturing plant or industrial environment.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field is preferred.
