Compound Pharmaceutical Technologies Inc. is a non-sterile USP 795 and USP 800 Hazardous Drug compounding pharmacy in Daphne, AL. We are professional and customer-centric. We have been in business for over 17 years. Pharmacy compounding (Sterile and/or non-sterile) or lab experience is preferred. Training will be part of any new hire. Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense comounded medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate compounding logs and records per SOP's
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure compliance with SOP's protocols and Alabama pharmacy law regulations.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to enhance patient safety and care standards.
- Bring any mistakes, quality issues, formulation failures, or opportunities for improvement to the attention of the Lab Manager or PIC.
Job Skills and Qualifications:.
- Read, understand, and receive training on all pertinent SOPs the PIC determines for CPT Inc.
- During training, become proficient in compounding topicals, suppositories, capsules, liquids, powders, lollipops, troches, and other dosage forms that will be needed.
- Ability to pass internal benchmarks during training.
- Ability to communicate if you think you need additional training.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential in our work environment.
- Attention to detail when working with formulas, calculations, and lab processes.
- Awareness and familiarity with different types of compounding forms.
- Monitor the Laboratory environment per the specifications of company SOPs and USP guidelines.
- Clean and maintain all equipment, floors, surfaces, utensils, and areas for drug storage according to the SOPs.
- Dress appropriately for professional work and safety as defined in the SOPs.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience in a compounding pharmacy setting is highly valued.
- A technician license is in good standing with the state.
- You may apply for registration and obtain a license prior to being hired. Per Alabama law, additional certification testing must be completed within 6 months.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent or higher.
- Pass a background check.
- Compounding lab experience is preferred.
- National Certification (CPhT) is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.25 per hour, depending on experience.
