Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
One of the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Doctor of Pharmacy
2 of the most recent 4 years’ experience specifically regarding sterile compounding
Working knowledge of management principles
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
Parenteral certification with the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP)
Preceptor licensure
One of the following:
- Current licensure by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy
- Current eligibility for licensure by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy*
*Permanent Alabama State Board of Pharmacy license is required within 4 months of placement in position
Desired Qualifications:
Supervision experience in IV Compounding
Working knowledge of applicable pharmacy operations and procedures
Working knowledge of research operations

Responsibilities
Coordinates the development and implementation of procedures for compounding of sterile drugs and IV medications throughout Infirmary Health (IH) pharmacy facilities to ensure appropriate, safe, effective, and efficient use of medications through the application of pharmaceutical principles.
