Position: SATCOM Network Engineer
Location: Fort Meade MD
Clearance; DOD Secret or Higher
Duration: Long Term
Certification : CompTIA SEC CE
Education : Bachelors Degree
Responsibilities:
*Coordinate agencies such as with DoD CIO, US Space Force, US Space Command, Combatant Commands(CCMDs), and DoD
Services and Agencies to provide engineering, development, testing, and fielding of the DISA solution for improved SATCOM
Resource Allocation.
* Attend Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM), Working Groups (WG), and Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
*Provide Engineering and Implementation support to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Defense Satellite
Communications System (DSCS) and Wideband Global Satellite (WGS) Network.
*Defines the concept of operations and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for the system's use within the enterprise
Qualifications
*Be able to Communicate effectively orally and in writing on technical subjects to technical and non-technical people
*Can conduct surveys of existing telecommunications networks, evaluate their effectiveness and efficiency, and recommend
design modifications to systems as necessary
*Will need to assimilate and analyze data, and prepare accurate and concise engineering reports and studies
*Has a strong understanding of DoD policies, architectural frameworks, and commercial best practices and can direct a team of
architects in the design and development of Service Oriented Architectures that satisfy enterprise scale requirements.
Experience
*10 years or more of related experience preferred
