Summary:
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for requisitioning, receiving, distributing and tracking Service department inventory.
Essential Duties:
- Knowledge of modern warehouse practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Review and inspect deliveries to ensure completeness while documenting backorders and damage.
- Perform monthly inventory verification for each assigned warehouse(s)
- Maintain CES service department inventory management system by transferring all materials to their associated Inventory group be that a warehouse or a service vehicle via COINS.
- Utilize usage reports provided to them by the service department to procure and replenish materials used by service vehicles monthly to keep their vehicle inventory quantities at the specified levels.
- Pull, track and stage material from shop inventory to van inventory. Coordinate with technicians for inventory transfer and to ensure that vans are fully stocked.
- Assist service coordinators in staging large scale projects that involve rigging, trailers and large tools such as the plumbing jetter etc.
- Intake all returned components and keep a rolling record of which tech returned what part on what date. Document the data tag information so that the warranty department can easily locate a part that has been identified as covered under a warranty
- Maintain refrigerant cylinders ensuring that they are labeled, and their contents are easily identifiable. Communicating with the supplier and coordinating exchanges as needed. Consolidate recovery cylinders as needed
- Providing AP with all shipping tickets received from delivered material so that they can process the PO.
- Perform quarterly inventory verifications on service vehicles.
- Intake and maintenance of Wawa owned self-contained refrigeration equipment once returned from remodel or from an active Site.
- Assist with all service vehicle transfers. Correctly identifying all the material on an existing vehicle and logging it into the system. Transfer that material to the warehouse it is being returned to in COINS.
- Set up and processing of all new hire inventory. Ensuring that their trucks are stocked with everything in accordance with the department's specified inventory requirements on the Friday before the new hire start date.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or technical school or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of modern warehouse practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook and basic computer operations.
- Uses correct English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Has great attention to detail.
- Is well organized and reliable.
Licenses/Registrations:
- Valid Florida Driver's License is required.
- EPA Certification (Strongly Preferred)
- Forklift Certification
