RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a 24-hour, 6-bed, short-term residential program helping youth (ages 12-17) in crisis, runaway, and homeless situations.
- Assist in handling crisis calls and situations, and complete in-person assessments on potential clients.
- Advertise, interview, and hire Intervention Specialists (direct care staff) and assist with training new hires
- Oversee Intervention Specialist, Program Manager Assistant, undergraduate intern, and volunteer training, and provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and direction.
- Approve or deny time off requests for Intervention Specialists and ensure adequate coverage 24-hours a day.
- Oversee the Intervention Specialist schedule.
- Assist with shift coverage as needed.
- Lead life skills, recreation, and educational activities when working with the clients.
- Provide on-call assistance to staff.
- Complete Intervention Specialist, Program Manager Assistant, and intern evaluations.
- Oversee and assist in maintaining health and fire standards, licensing rules, nutrition, and medical needs of clients.
- Along with the Program Manager Assistant, purchase food, building necessities, and client necessities.
- Meet with the Director to review staff and agency concerns, updates and needs.
- Work with the program therapist regarding client and family needs, case management, and concerns.
- Address concerns of client guardians and community members as needed.
- Attend meetings and staff training.
- Program outreach.
- Complete required reports.
- Oversee petty cash and payment of monthly/yearly bills.
- Train and be approved to use the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and oversee all approved employee activity on the system.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a human services field (social work, human services, counseling) is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in a child-caring institution or residential setting is preferred.
- Managerial, supervisory, and/or leadership experience is a must.
- Experience in working with adolescents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A flexible schedule.
- Not a perpetrator of child abuse or neglect.
- No convictions relating to harm or threatened harm to an individual.
- Proof of a negative TB test.
- Knowledge of strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches.
HOURS:
- 40 hours per week.
- The majority of work hours are in office.
- Have the ability to work morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight hours.
- Hours can be flexible at times. Some hours may be set if shifts with clients are being covered or if there is agency business that must be attended to.
- Occasional shift coverage due to staff call-ins for illness or emergencies.

Salary : $58,600 - $64,700
