Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Analyst III to support the planning and implementation of data governance tools within a state agency. The contractor will assist in data collection, identification of data assets, metadata management, and data governance implementation. The role involves analyzing and evaluating business systems and processes to build an effective operational metadata management process.

Responsibilities:

• Support data collection and identification of data assets from various sources.

• Fill out templates for metadata management and data governance setup.

• Analyze and evaluate business processes and systems for operational improvement.

• Utilize Informatica Data Governance tools such as Axon Data Governance, Enterprise Data Catalog, and Data Quality.

• Use JIRA for task and project tracking.

• Work independently and in cross-functional teams.

• Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

• Create process flows and data flow diagrams.

• Design and implement data acquisition strategies as needed.

• Summarize findings for leadership and stakeholder reporting.

• Conduct design meetings, metadata modeling discussions, and project status reporting.

• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

• Analyze technical information, regulations, and policies.

• Familiarity with State Data Management Framework.

Qualifications:

< class="" data-start="1836" data-end="1868">Minimum Requirements:

• 8 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst (Technical).

• 8 years of experience in enterprise data analytics, integration, and management with data warehouse and data governance technologies.

• Ability to analyze raw data using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools.

• Experience working independently and in collaborative team environments.

• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.

• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Experience with Informatica Data Governance tools, including Axon Data Governance, Enterprise Data Catalog, and Data Quality.

• 5 years of experience using Excel, Tableau, Power BI for data analysis.

• Familiarity with State Data Management Framework.
