Job Title: Project Manager

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the implementation of a unified Salesforce Licensing, Permitting, and Inspection (LPI) system. This initiative aims to standardize business processes, enhance digital experiences, and deliver a scalable, user-centered technology solution. The Project Manager will manage the technology implementation, coordinate between business, technical, and vendor stakeholders, and ensure the system meets business needs through all phases of development and maintenance.
The ideal candidate has experience managing large-scale software projects, preferably Salesforce deployments, and excels at coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives. This role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Create and maintain key project documentation, including charters, plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Develop detailed project work plans and schedules, identifying necessary resources and dependencies.
- Track and manage project plans and schedules using enterprise reporting tools (e.g., MS Project Online).
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and resources to meet business and technical requirements with high customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate technical reviews, compliance checks, and creation of project artifacts.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as needed.
- Serve as the primary communication point between internal teams, vendors, and external agencies.
- Develop and validate test plans, manage image acceptance testing, and oversee product demos.
- Ensure project team members have proper system access and tools for collaboration.
- Maintain budget tracking, monitor vendor billing, and inform senior management of discrepancies.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience:
- 5-8 years in IT project management, managing complex, cross-functional IT projects.
- Familiarity with project portfolio management involving external vendors and delivery partners.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Project Online.
- Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce implementation or large-scale deployments is highly preferred.
Project Management Expertise:
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and ITIL concepts.
- Familiarity with PMI project management concepts and Theory of Constraints.
- Experience with software development lifecycle and release management methodologies.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, senior management, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
Problem-Solving & Leadership:
- Strong issue and problem management skills, including root cause analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership with a focus on organizational efficiency and customer service.
Additional Qualifications:
- Proven ability in both waterfall and agile delivery methods.
- Experience managing software or services projects from end-to-end.
- Familiarity with organizational change management, including end-user training.
- Experience with contract management and vendor coordination.
- Prior experience managing large public-sector IT projects or familiarity with Massachusetts state practices and budgeting is a plus.
