Summary:
The IS Project Manager will be responsible for managing large, complex projects with cross-organizational impacts. This role requires maintaining full control over project scope, schedule, and budget in accordance with established project management standards to ensure high-quality, successful project completion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead and manage the successful implementation of county-wide technology projects and programs following approved project management standards.
Develop project proposals, charters, work breakdown structures, and detailed project plans.
Use MS Project for project planning and schedule management.
Monitor project status, maintain project plans, and manage risks and issues.
Allocate resources to project tasks and track progress to completion.
Manage and document project scope, risks, and issues; implement mitigation strategies as needed.
Oversee complex budget tracking and monitoring of multimillion-dollar projects, including managing internal teams, professional services, and vendors.
Prepare and distribute regular reports to executive leadership, project team members, and stakeholders.
Communicate risks, issues, and decisions promptly and clearly.
Ensure compliance with change control and quality management policies; promptly notify management of any policy changes or exceptions.
Verify that all vendors meet contract terms and deliverables.
Maintain historical project records.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with executive leaders and managers.
Prepare and communicate updates and decisions to the executive steering committee.
