Job Description:
The Systems Analyst 2 will play a critical role in supporting the migration of an integrated resident information system, which includes Cerner Millennium, Dentrix, CareTracker, and RLDatix Risk Module, to a new SaaS solution. The responsibilities include data assessment, cleansing, and mapping to ensure seamless compatibility with the new system. The analyst will be responsible for designing and implementing workflows, ensuring smooth integration with existing processes, and optimizing system functionality. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, clear documentation, and collaborative communication throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Key responsibilities include ensuring that the system design meets required standards, establishing validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration, and conducting unit testing, test script execution, scenario management, and debugging. The analyst will also be responsible for providing regular updates on migration progress, utilizing ticketing systems for issue tracking, and preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders.
Post-migration, the analyst will train end-users, develop comprehensive documentation, and recommend strategies for system optimization based on feedback and performance metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- At least seven years of experience in database management systems and data migration, specifically in healthcare EHR systems with complex integrations such as Cerner Millennium.
- Strong experience in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar database scripting to facilitate data migration to a SaaS platform. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Visio, and other spreadsheet tools is essential.
- Extensive background in business analysis, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements and operational procedures to identify opportunities for automation and system improvements.
- Ability to document business process flows, conduct data collection, engage with subject matter experts, and create comprehensive documentation for system usability and future process improvements.
- Experience in preparing specifications for data input and output processes.
- Expertise in resolving complex data-related issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to produce clear and concise project documentation and effectively engage with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to support diverse teams, encourage collaboration, and drive productivity.
- Deep understanding of current IT industry trends and the ability to strategically apply them within an organization.
- Knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools related to infrastructure, information systems, and applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with SaaS-based EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
