POSITION DESCRIPTION :
The Client's is seeking a Senior Salesforce QA Engineer with 5 years of Salesforce ecosystem and quality assurance experience to join the team. You will develop and execute QA processes across diverse DESE Salesforce projects. The Salesforce quality assurance analyst will be responsible for all aspects of functional and performance testing for the Salesforce application that is being used by a few business units of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Manual testing will be the primarily testing approach though automated testing is required to improve efficiency. The successful candidate will work with the Salesforce project team staff to define, develop, execute and automate test plans and test cases. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, goal oriented and able to work on competing priorities under tight timeframes. The software quality assurance analyst must be comfortable sharing knowledge and generally working to enrich the team's capabilities. Candidates are required to attend in-person interview that is held in the office located in Everett, MA. Preferably candidates should be ready to come to the office in Everett, MA one day per week.
Specific Duties will include :
- Collaborate with our development teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases and scenarios.
- Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce applications, including customizations and integrations to ensure system requirements are met.
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of Salesforce solutions.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools such as JIRA
- Perform regression testing to validate fixes and ensure that new enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
- Review test results and evaluate for conformance to design.
- Serve as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how to make our software solutions defect free when delivered.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to your Project Manager to ensure timely delivery.
- Testing the application using sound engineering practices and employing solid Source Code Management practices.
- Software black box and white box testing, load testing, and integrated systems testing.
- Testing of database content and multiple interfaces, include SOA and Web Services.
- May be required to be available for stand by duty and, if necessary, overtime hours to resolve critical system
- problems and / or perform production system maintenance as well as to respond to emergencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Contribute to the overall quality assurance strategy and participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
