Compucom Systems, Inc. provides end-to-end IT managed services to enable the digital workplace for enterprise, midsize and small businesses. We’re looking for a Desktop Technician to join our team.
In order to deliver our exceptional services, we need dedicated and enthusiastic, hard-working, and customer service-oriented technicians that’s where you come in! Your role will include unparalleled technical support for our client, allowing them to experience the best support available within the industry.
Provide exceptional Customer Service interfacing with high profile client executives onsite
Provide excellent time management and reporting skills
Be familiar with various operating systems (e.g. - Windows OS, OSX, Linux / Unix)
Manage triage, troubleshooting and resolution to client scope on IT equipment
Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases / tickets daily
Insight to POS, PC, Printers, Thin Clients, AP’s, Servers, Network switch equipment
High School Diploma or GED required.
At least 1year of hands-on technical knowledge of laptop and desktop design and software installation.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT support field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Experience in a break / fix environment. Able to lift heavy equipment. (PC’s, monitors, printers.) Strong verbal and written communication skills. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Experience with Mac OS, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Internet browsers and Email clients.
Mac experience preferred.
