We’re looking for a Senior Storage Administrator to join our team.
The Senior Storage Administrator will consult, install, configure, monitor, and provide Subject Matter Expert support of Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and associated technologies, proactive and reactive, and ensure data is accessible through secured protocols and recommended vendor and industry standards.Own the activities for Knowledge documentation and operational standards for storage management activities. Report scheduling and analysis. Patch management for all systems. Participate in Change Control lifecycle activities. Maximize the storage infrastructure functionality and recommend optimal improvements for availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness.
Responsibilities
Facilitate activities to support Legal Hold.
Help build the infrastructure and define the process of legal holding.
Respond to requests, tickets, and provide related reporting.
Copy, delete, duplicate, separate, move, parse, etc. relevant data, directories, and other digital assets.
Granting and revoking access on stored files.
Create, update, maintain, and close relevant tickets, approx. 10 / day.
Create backend scripts to facilitate and accelerate manual data tasks, where necessary using Shell / Bash, Phyton or other suitable language and utility.
Make automation assets available to ServiceNow / Service Catalog Team so they may connect relevant workflows and request forms.Contribute to ServiceNow / Service Catalog team effort to automation workflows by providing input on backend process related to day-to-day effort with respect to Legal Hold.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in related field
ITIL v3 or ITILv4
Storage Certs in EMC, NetApp products, or other relevant Storage Tech
Storage clustering concepts and basic understanding of Access Lists functionality for DFS, windows and unix / linux Operating Systems
Understanding of Cloud Storage Technologies
Proficiency in Storage hardware, software and / or Linux / Unix Operating Systems
