Responsibilities:
Accurately enters specimen data into the laboratory information system.
Labels specimens and slides precisely.
Utilizes equipment such as centrifuge, Thin Prep processor, Leica Auto-stainer, Tissue-tek cover-slipper, and others for specimen processing.
Notifies management of specimen issues as necessary.
Conducts specimen collection and quick assessment processing in Fine Needle Aspiration procedures.
Performs clerical tasks including client calls as required.
Handles specimens in compliance with quality and safety regulations to ensure precise cytologic test results.
Adheres to all company, department, and regulatory policies and procedures, including compliance and safety.
Contributes to department and organizational effectiveness by completing assigned duties.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred experience in data entry and customer service.
Knowledge of Windows-based programs is beneficial.
Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Physical & Safety demands:
Involves repetitive motion tasks.
Requires sitting for extended periods.
Involves light lifting (< 25 lbs).
Requires reading small print.
Exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals.
Familiarity with and adherence to safety, ergonomic, and health policies of the Company.
Compliance with all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements in laboratory or biohazard areas.

Salary : $45,000 - $58,000
