Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team at Compunnel Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry regulations, conducting safety audits, and maintaining inspection records.
About the Role
- Conduct thorough safety audits of contractors to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Issue permits and authorizations to support safe work practices, including hot work permits and electrical authorizations.
- Maintain accurate inspection records for personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety gear.
- Work closely with EH&S Safety SMEs to implement Corteva Standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of eye wash stations, GFCI outlets, shop jacks, and fire extinguishers to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Record and track STOP audit results to identify areas for improvement.
- Upload CMV hours to our company database to maintain accurate records.
- Assist in writing and updating Lockout/Tagout Procedures (LOTOPs) to ensure safe work practices.
- Communicate with contractors to verify their licensing and certification status.
- Conduct monthly vehicle inspections of company vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Demonstrate strong computer literacy and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Show a strong desire to work safely and help others to do the same.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement.
