Must Haves :

• 5 years of full stack (Ruby on Rails) development experience
• 40% frontend with Typescript / ReactJS (preferred), 60% backend with Ruby on Rails
• Strong understanding and experience with databases
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree
Pluses :
• PostgreSQL
• Distributed system development
• FinTech, SaaS, or relevant technology industry experience

Day-to-Day :

Our client, a top Fortune 400 company in the FinTech industry, is seeking a Fullstack (Ruby on Rails) Engineer to join their Braintree Burst Capacity team. This team supports value added services (VAS) and are introducing new products for merchants to self-service.

The Fullstack (Ruby on Rails) Engineer will support the software development lifecycle, looking into design and the approach, solution, etc. They will submit their code, conduct unit testing to ensure the quality is in place for changes, and then submit for review. During the review process, this individual will review code and comments, and another individual will deploy. They will participate in stand-up meetings around 3 : 30pm each day with the team, review the teams current progress, discuss blockers and tickets for the current and next day. This individual will also pariticipate in pairing sessions, working with team members via shared screens, etc.
