What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at Compunnel Inc.?
The Assay Development and Characterization (ADC) team is responsible for developing and optimizing various assay platforms to identify and characterize hits, actives, leads, and construct performance.
- As part of the ADC team, the Research Assistant will perform general laboratory operations tasks and provide support with experimental execution, at the direction of laboratory and/or project leads. Responsibilities and tasks may include:
- Perform duties with regard to safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
- Maintaining laboratory facilities and equipment in accordance with laboratory standards.
- Performance of molecular biology techniques such as plasmid preps, quantification and digestion.
- Assist in plant assays including sampling, culture maintenance, and plant care
- Comfortable working in controlled environments to perform various plant care tasks
- Utilize lab instruments to analyze samples and record results with precision and attention to detail
- Perform lab duties with regard to sterile technique
- Standard lab cleaning procedures
