Job Summary:
The Sourcing Specialist will support Sourcing Managers and product teams by managing assigned commodities. This role focuses on optimizing supplier performance, reducing costs, and ensuring high-quality materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute local sourcing strategies to achieve business goals.
- Select, develop, and manage suppliers for cost optimization and quality improvement.
- Lead sourcing activities, including cost analysis and supplier negotiations.
- Monitor supplier quality and delivery, implementing improvement strategies.
- Resolve sourcing issues related to delivery, quality, and invoicing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure purchased materials meet business needs.
Additional Focus Areas:
- Direct Sourcing:
- Optimize cost, fulfillment, and product lifecycle management.
- Build strong supplier relationships for early engagement in new product development.
- Indirect Sourcing:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Streamline sourcing processes through digitization and automation.
Qualifications:
- An associate's degree in engineering or 5 years of related work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain.
- A strong understanding of assigned commodities and cost analysis.
