Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage production capacity to meet sales forecasts and inventory targets.
- Develop and deliver weekly production forecasts for co-manufacturers and suppliers.
- Issue and track purchase orders for finished goods and raw materials.
- Collaborate with co-manufacturers and direct material suppliers on a daily basis.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and vendor scorecards.
- Analyze competitive costs of raw materials and supplies.
- Verify product quality control and recall procedures for all finished goods.
- Conduct regular quality audits on finished goods and track corrective actions.
- Maintain adherence to FIFO/FEFO procedures for raw materials and finished goods inventories.
- Work with third-party warehouse providers to ensure accurate inventory accounting and minimize variances.
- Confirm accurate vendor invoicing for inbound goods.
- Validate warehouse storage invoices.
- Perform annual on-site inventory audits at external warehouses.
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience as a production supervisor is required.
- Strong team building, decision making, and people management skills are essential.
- Able to create accountability and lead by example.
- Familiarity with computer systems, including inventory and production software.
- Prior experience with OSHA regulations is preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proven ability to train employees on safety and production procedures.
- Working knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Able to coach and motivate employees.
