Quality Control Engineer
The ideal candidate will need to have knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMAA. The knowledge of mini tab software and MS suites are a must for this role.
06 Months Contract Possibility of Extension or Conversion
(Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
We are looking for a highly skilled Quality Control Engineer with strong expertise in quality standards and engineering principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching and testing the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes to ensure the highest quality standards are met. This individual must possess knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, FMAA, and must be proficient in Minitab software and MS Office Suites.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sampling procedures, along with designing and creating forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establish programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment, testing, measurement, and analytical equipment.
- May write and deliver training material on quality control activities and conduct training sessions.
- Specialize in areas such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative applications.
- Lead teams in measuring and testing products, tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality, and ensuring reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMAA.
- Proficient in Minitab software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in IATF (International Automotive Task Force) standards and AAIG Core Tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments with minimal direction from a supervisor.
- Team-oriented and detail-oriented with the ability to mentor and provide constructive feedback.
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience with computer-aided design (CAD) applications.
- Experience in various quality control engineering areas, such as design, incoming material, process control, and product evaluation.
Additional Notes:
- Knowledge of auto PPAP and IATF standards is essential.
- Strong communication skills are a must.
- 30-minute Zoom interviews will be scheduled once the manager is ready.
