What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior KDB+ Developer position at Compunnel Inc.?
Job : Senior KDB Developer
Location : Jersey city NJ (2 weeks onsite in a month)
Duration : Long term contract
REQUIRED SKILLS
5 years of development experience with strong knowledge of q / KDB programming, Python, Scripting (Shell / Perl) , Unix or Linux and SQL / Relational Databases, such as Oracle, is required.
Experience crafting, building, and deploying applications in a DevOps environment using CI / CD pipeline;
experience with Git / Bitbucket Server (Stash), Jenkins, and uDeploy are required
NICE TO HAVE
Knowledge of Cloud computing concepts and deploying and managing applications in the Cloud (AWS S3, EC2, and CloudFormation along with Lambdas / Python a plus)
Experience working in Angular, Java, Spring Boot, JPA / Hibernate and Kafka, is preferred.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field, Masters a plus
5 years of development experience with q / KDB programming, Python, Scripting (Shell / Perl), Unix or Linux, SQL / Relational Databases, such as Oracle, is required
A deep understanding of various programming languages
Hands-on experience in application deployment automation and pipelines
Experience implementing projects as a team in Agile environments (Kanban and Scrum)
Experience crafting, building, and deploying applications in a DevOps environment using CI / CD pipeline; experience with Git / Bitbucket Server (Stash), Jenkins, and uDeploy
Experience working with Artifactory and familiarity with API registries (e.g., Apigee)
Knowledge of Cloud computing concepts and deploying and managing applications in the Cloud (AWS S3, EC2, and CloudFormation along with Lambdas / Python) a plus
Experience working in Java, Spring Boot and Kafka, is a plus
Experience in user interface frameworks / platforms (Angular, React, etc.) a plus
