Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this role ensures the right materials are ordered in the correct quantities and at the right time to meet production schedules and customer demands. The position involves expediting orders, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Report any workplace injuries, incidents, or hazards.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in required safety training.
Quality Control & Process Adherence
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.
- Perform quality checks on material planning data (e.g., lead times, order quantities).
- Work with the Quality team to quickly resolve non-conforming material issues.
Inventory & Order Management
- Create and manage purchase and work orders to align with demand.
- Coordinate with suppliers and sourcing managers to address supply constraints.
- Work with suppliers to reduce lead times and optimize order quantities.
- Help relocate excess inventory to areas with higher demand.
- Provide timely updates on inventory availability and back-order recovery plans.
- Manage product changes and production adjustments while minimizing excess inventory.
- Monitor critical suppliers, resolve past-due orders, and improve supplier performance.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
- Participate in training and career development programs.
- Contribute to process improvements in quality, safety, and material flow.
- Take ownership of supplier schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
Salary : $34 - $35
