Position Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated EEG Technician to join our Non-Invasive Cardiology / Neurodiagnostics team. The EEG Technician will perform a variety of neurodiagnostic tests, including EEGs, EMGs, evoked potentials, epilepsy studies, and other related examinations. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, critical thinking, and the ability to provide excellent patient care in a hospital setting.
Job Functions :
- EEG Testing :
Perform high-quality EEG studies, ensuring adherence to national and hospital standards.
Identify and correct artifacts during testing.
Set up and monitor long-term EEG studies for epilepsy patients, ensuring proper lead placement and system checks during recordings.
Set up ambulatory EEG, including patient preparation and lead placement.
Assist physicians during EMG procedures by preparing the room, arranging patient transport, and supplying necessary equipment.
Assist in or perform Visual Evoked Potentials (VERs), Brainstem Auditory Evoked Responses (BAERs), and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEPs).
