Job Summary
The Sales Coordinator I is responsible for managing customer orders, quotes, and related activities in a dynamic and multifaceted role. The position involves liaising with customers, preparing status reports, and ensuring error-free execution of sales orders and agreements. The Sales Coordinator must exhibit professionalism in all communications and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle customer orders and quotes, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
• Maintain customer profiles and prepare regular status reports
• Act as a liaison between customers and the business to expedite orders
• Coordinate order requirements using MRP and other business tools
• Organize and communicate with internal teams to meet external customer requirements
• Utilize professional telephone and written communication skills
• Flexibly respond to customer needs across markets and segments
• Participate in training, testing, and project activities as needed
• Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• 3-5 years of customer service experience, including handling customer purchase orders / contracts in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Effective problem-solving and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Professional demeanor under pressure
