Job Summary
As a Senior UX / UI Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering exceptional digital products that seamlessly integrate into transportation solutions. This role includes a hybrid of UX and UI work within the Human Machine Interface (HMI) Design team, focusing on the in-vehicle design experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs, business requirements, and technological capabilities into engaging and intuitive user experiences. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and a passion for innovation in the transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Create high-fidelity 2D and 3D designs, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Develop interactive animations and motion graphics to enhance user engagement.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define product requirements and specifications.
• Conduct and facilitate user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to iterate and improve product designs.
• Ensure consistency and coherence across various digital touchpoints, with a primary focus on in-vehicle interfaces.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and contribute to a culture of design excellence within the organization.
• Contribute to the development of design processes and toolchains.
• Stay ahead of emerging design trends, technologies, and industry best practices, embracing ambiguity in an R&D context to inspire continuous improvement and innovation.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Product Design, Digital Arts, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in digital product design, preferably within the automotive or related industry.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated prototyping abilities using tools like Figma or Protopie.
• Proficiency in 3D tools and animation such as C4D, After Effects, or equivalent.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, including 2D and 3D work, animation, and motion graphics.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Experience designing complex products and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale effectively.
• Passion for automotive technology and a keen interest in shaping the future of mobility.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Kanzi, Unity, or Unreal Engine.
• Familiarity with Agile development environments.
