What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Operator position at Compunnel?
Job Summary :
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for a variety of material control functions, including shipping, receiving, maintaining rack storage locations, labeling, wrapping, and packing both finished goods and incoming raw materials. The role will involve working closely with the Production and Batching teams to ensure that production lines and batching towers are consistently supplied with the necessary raw materials.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste, hazardous material handling, and shipping.
- Operate and maintain industrial equipment, including sit-down electric forklifts, electric reach trucks, and electric pallet trucks (certification required).
- Assist in performing physical inventories and manage the put-away process for all raw materials and finished goods.
- Utilize scanning equipment connected to DSI / JDE One World for tracking, labeling, and organizing raw materials and finished goods.
- Handle the shrink-wrapping, banding, and staging of all finished goods to maintain package preservation.
- Train and mentor new hires in warehouse operations and safety protocols.
