Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Leadership: Lead and coordinate daily operations of the MRI department, ensuring smooth workflows and high standards of patient care.
- Team Management: Provide guidance and support to MRI technologists and support staff, promoting professional development and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure adherence to MRI protocols and procedures to maintain high imaging quality and patient safety. Oversee equipment performance and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Optimize MRI scheduling to enhance department efficiency while ensuring timely procedures and minimal patient wait times.
- Performance Evaluation & Training: Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing education to MRI staff, ensuring continuous improvement in skills and knowledge.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including ACR accreditation, and contribute to the department’s success in meeting these requirements.
- Patient Interaction: Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional, empathetic manner, ensuring a positive patient experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited Medical Radiographic Program.
- Certification: ARRT (MR) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in MRI.
- Leadership Experience: At least two years of experience in a supervisory or lead technologist role within an MRI department.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with MRI equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Certification: Advanced MRI certification, such as cardiac MRI, is preferred.
- MRSO Certification: Active MRSO certification is preferred to ensure a high level of safety in the workplace.
